Vet science students learn about animal nutrition

Students in the Roland-Story Veterinary Science class have been studying the unit on animal nutrition and digestion for the past several weeks. In a recent lab, they discovered the amount of energy that feeds contained. The lab they conducted was designed to investigate the nutritional value of a feed and how it can be determined through feed analysis. According to Agriculture Education Instructor Brad Taylor, “this was a real-life lab for the students to investigate the energy potential of various feeds fed to animals”.
