• Middle School Principal John Sheahan is retiring at the end of this school year and stated: “I just want to thank all the current and former students, current and former staff, current and former administrators, and current and former board members for all their support and encouragement during my nineteen years of working for the district. I could not have raised my family and served in a better district than Roland-Story! I have been so blessed!”

• In the elementary music room, the Kindergarten, 1st grade and 4th grade all had successful performances last week. The second graders are practicing their melodic and rhythmic skills and have been singing and dancing to a song called “Tideo”.

• It’s spring in Mrs. D-Ferrell’s Language Arts II, so that means the decades-long tradition of reading A Separate Peace begins. This year, the sophomores explore the complex relationship between Finny and Gene through dynamic Socratic Seminar group discussions. Please ask your student what was discussed in class. Knowles’ novel offers interesting insight into the human psyche.
