‘Super Cooper’ assembly held at R-S Middle School
The Roland-Story Middle School Leadership Exploratory Class and instructor Cindy Holmes presented a check for $3,285.13 to the family of Cooper Leeman at a special assembly held on Wednesday, April 20 in Roland. Part of the money will be used for the Leeman’s to donate handicap swings at the middle school and elementary school playgrounds. Students, teachers, school employees and Cooper’s family members were all present in a special atmosphere of community support, unity and appreciation for those in need.
The Roland and Story City Caseys stores will continue with the fund raising buckets for the Leeman familiy. The middle school carnival May 19 will also serve as a final step in the fund raiser for Cooper.
“Thanks to the community for all of the support you have shown,” said Cindy Holmes. “We are all proud to be a part of a ‘winning attitude’ such as this!”
