KJYL Christian Radio at 100.7 FM and 96.3 FM in the Storm Lake area is celebrating its 25th anniversary. “Thanks to numerous devoted volunteers and prayer warriors and mostly to the Lord,” a press release stated, on Feb. 20, 1994, KJYL went on the air from its studios in Eagle Grove.

As part of the Minn-Iowa Christian Broadcasting ministry, KJYL has now been broadcasting the Gospel of Jesus Christ through its Bible teaching programs, announcers and contemporary Christian music for 25 years.

KJYL now has its studio site at 118 W. Hwy. 3 in Goldfield and continues to spread the Word of God throughout all of north-central Iowa.

To celebrate 25 years, KJYL is bringing one of the listening family’s favorite new artists, Hannah Kerr, for a free-will offering concert on Friday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Humboldt High School Auditorium. Kerr, whose debut CD produced several charting singles, is appreciated by the KJYL staff and listeners for her passionate writing and vocals at such a young age of 22.
