Roland-Story cheerleaders crowned state champions!

Roland Story took two different cheer squads to the State Competition in Des Moines on November 2, 2013. One squad was entered in the Cheer and Dance Division, which is a 2 1/2 minute routine that contains dancing, cheering and stunting. This is a high energy division. The girls placed 13th in the 2A division.

The second group was entered in the Time Out Division. Here the girls have one minute to get the crowd involved as if it was a time out in a ball game. This group did a fantastic job. They were crowned state champions for small schools. After months of practicing, several routine changes, the girls went out there and showed them what they could do!

Congratulations girls!
