Riverbend Jr. League Tournament results

The River Bend Jr. League had a fun season with 53 golfers participating. They held their tournament on July 24. Tournament winner was Nicklaus Turner.

In other ages, 5th-6th Grade winner, Luke Jones; 3rd-4th Grade winner, William Nady; Girl’s League winner, Alayna Ringsby.

League winners were 7th-12th Grade, Alex Retallick; 5th-6th grade, Luke Jones; 3rd-4th Grade, Matthew Phelen and Girl’s League, Claire Wiseman.

The Andrew Christian Memorial Jr. League Scholarship was awarded to Ben Carlson.

The purpose of this scholarship to encourage, support and express appreciation to young golfers who may make significant contributions to golf. The Junior Leaguer must show an interest, skills, and/or some potential in the area of golf and

demonstrate ethical and moral character both on and off the golf course. Ben was awarded a Youth Season Pass for 2015 give by Edgar and Jaynee Christian in memory of their son, Andrew.

Congratulations to all the golfers who participated in our league and in the tournament.

The Jr. League would like to thank Randall Story Bank, Ackley State Bank,and State Farm Insurance for their generous contributions to our tournament prizes.

We could not hold the tournament without adult scorekeepers.

Thank you to the adult scorekeepers during the tournament and all the parents, grandparents, and friends who helped each week with the league.

We appreciate the time you spent with the young golfers.

And thank you to River Bend LTD for allowing the young golfers the opportunity to reserve Thursday mornings for their league participation.
