Gookin Ford in Story City wants to help the community! The local car dealership recently announced that it will conduct a “Pack the Truck” promotion to help supply the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry in Story City with non-perishable goods and food items. Residents of the community and surrounding area are encouraged to bring their items to the dealership at 510 Factory Outlet Drive near the interstate and load them into the bed of a Ford pickup on their show room floor.

The food and goods drive will be conducted throughout the month of October. By bringing in pantry items between Oct. 1 and Oct. 31 Gookin Ford will also present each donor a $5 off coupon, which can be used toward a vehicle service in their service department.

“This is the time of year people in need need food items,” said Gookin Ford Sales Manager Mark Erickson. “It’s also a way for us to be a part of the community. Everybody can use a little help at this time of year.”
