ROLAND KIWANIS CHILDREN’S PARTY

The Roland Kiwanis Club will sponsor a Children’s Christmas Party on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 10 a.m. at the Roland Legion Hall. Santa will also be on hand to greet the kids.

The Board of Trustees of the Story City Municipal Electric Utility will hold their next regular board meeting on Monday, Dec. 15, at 4 p.m. in the board room at the Story City light plant, 505 Market Avenue.

STORY THEATER CONCLUDES 100TH YEAR!

The Story Theater Grand Opera House will culminate a year-long celebration of its 100th Anniversary with a special “101st Birthday” Concert on Thursday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m., featuring Nashville recording artist Daniel Christian, along with a special preview of next year’s Judge Story’s Scandinavian Days production “Little Shop of Horrors”. Christian will perform original selections as well as holiday favorites in this special performance on the historic stage. Tickets are now on sale for $20 in advance ($30 at the door) and are available at the Story City Chamber (524 Broad), Story City Herald (511 Broad) and the Story Theater (512 Broad). MIDDLE SCHOOL SENIOR CITIZENS DINNER

The Roland-Story Middle School is celebrating the holiday season with their annual Senior Citizens Dinner on Friday, Dec. 12 beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Roland Middle School. Please note the earlier date this year. Invitations have been sent out, but if you did not receive one please contact the middle school office at 388-4348. RSVPs were due by Friday, Dec. 5. The make-up snow day is Thursday, Dec. 18.
