May programs at the Roland Library will bring our regular school year programs to close. Catch some of the fun before we kick off our Summer Reading Program on June 6. Watch for updates coming soon.

Our after school programs (Tuesdays at 4 p.m.) and our Early Childhood Literacy programs (Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.) will have weekly themes. They include Mother’s Day, Amphibians, Dav Pilkey/Mo Willems and Memorial Day. Join us for some fun before school’s out for the summer.

In collaboration with ISU Extension, we will continue our Youth Gardening Club on Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. We have marveled at the growth of our starter plants and eagerly await their transition into the garden. Come grow with us!

To celebrate Mother’s Day or someone who makes a difference in your life, we will be hosting a Make, Take and Bake Blueberry French Toast program. RSVP by emailing You will be asked to pick a time between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on May 8 to come in and assemble your casserole. Children must be accompanied by an adult and we will only be taking 12 reservations. Your taste buds won’t want to miss out on this program!
