The rest of October, staff from The Bridge Home will be available at the Ames Public Library to assist people at risk of or experiencing homelessness, according to a Facebook post from the library.

Staff will be available Tuesdays and Fridays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and Thursdays from 4 p.m.-7p.m to help people with searching for an apartment, scheduling appointments, applying for jobs and more, the post said. The Ames Public Library is located at 515 Douglas Ave.

Formerly called the Emergency Residence Project, The Bridge Home is an Ames nonprofit organization that provides preventative services and housing programs aimed at combatting homelessness, according to its website.
