Roland-Story agriculture education student and FFA Treasurer Wyatt Origer recently accepted a check from Land O’Lakes Foundation that was presented by Nate Pohlen of Land O’Lakes to be used on the FFA community garden that is located at the WinField Solutions facility in Story City.

This is fifth year the Roland-Story FFA community garden has been in existence. In the previous four years, the garden has provided more than 27,800 pounds of fresh produce to area food pantries (Food at First, Loaves and Fishes, R-S Middle School).

“The garden has been a great benefit to our local community as well as providing students who work in the garden. It shows how well the students are engaged with the need to humbly serve others,” said Brad Taylor, R-S FFA advisor.
