Roland-Story agriculture education students and FFA members have again undertaken running a community garden for the fifth year with the produce being donated to local food pantry’s in Story City, Roland and Ames.

This is a student-run enterprise in cooperation with WinField Solutions and Land O’Lakes, Inc.

The garden is located on WinField Solutions property and the FFA chapter has received donations from Land O’Lakes and Tractor Supply Company which have allowed them to purchase seeds, plants and other needed materials.

Last year the garden provided nearly 12,000 pounds of produce which was all donated between the three food pantries.
