The Fall Central Iowa Junk Jaunt is this weekend, from Sept. 20 to 22.

This event began in 2009 with a handful of barns filled with vintage stuff. It has grown to include five small towns, including Story City, and the beautiful Iowa countryside in between.

The destination shopping event includes more than 20 stops including barns, old sheds, a chicken coop, family farms and vintage brick and mortar shops.

This weekend, it’s time for the annual Vintage Roadtrip.

The event will be Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The vintage shopping roadtrip is organized by Central Iowa Junk Jaunt, which is headquartered at JB Knacker in Gilbert. The experience takes shoppers to the central Iowa towns like Jewell, Story City and Roland as well as the countryside in between.
