Groundbreaking for new spec building held

The Story City Economic Development Corporation (EDC) held a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at the East I-35 Industrial Park at the site of the new 40,000 sq. ft. spec building south of Indoshell Precision. The spec building is a joint partnership between the EDC, the City of Story City and Story Construction, in an effort to have a building ready for future businesses that are interested in purchasing the building and locating to Story City.

The building’s designs are based upon the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s recommendations for needed space in the area.
