Norsemen qualify for state tournament

The Roland-Story Norsemen Varsity Golf Team qualified for the 2A State Tournament in Marshalltown by winning the 2A District Tournament in Dike on May 18.

Seven teams participated in the tournament, the Norse shot a team score of 321, Dike-New Hartford 322, and Clarion-Goldfield 326.

Norse individual scores, Tyler Risdal 77, Will Larson 80. Nick Stole 80, Carson Ehrenberg 84, Max Halstead 90, and Landon Greiner 93.

“Qualifying for the State Tournament has been the goal for this team from day one,” said Coach Mike Risdal. “They have put in countless hours of practice and preparation to obtain this goal. I am very proud of these young men for the effort and focus they have put forth this year, they truly deserve their success and the trip to the State Tournament. Go NORSE!”
