Norse track and field athletes compete at state meet

The Norse boys' and girls' track teams competed in five events at the state track meet at Drake stadium Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and several had results that were career or season bests.

Zach Shadlow placed fifth in the discus with a career high throw of 158-06.

Zach Twedt, Wyatt Bunn, Grant Olson and Carter Greenfield placed 10th in the 1600-meter distance medley, with a season best time of 3:41.70.

Carter Greenfield, Grant Olson, Gradyn Dowling and Nick Wakefield came in 17th place in the 4x800 with a season best time of 8:32.59.

In the 800-meter run, Carter Greenfield placed 16th with a career best time of 2:01.78.

For the girls' team, Jadyn Nelson placed 22nd in the high jump.
